The U.S.-Africa Trade Commission has officially appointed Dr. Fakunle John Aremu as its Country Director for Nigeria, according to an official appointment letter issued by the organization.

Dr. Aremu, an international trade, investment, and economic development executive with over 15 years of experience across Africa, was also named a member of the commission’s Executive Committee in the letter signed by Executive Director/CEO Titus Olowokere.

In his dual role, Dr. Aremu will oversee the commission’s operational presence in Nigeria, working alongside government ministries, diplomatic missions, chambers of commerce, private investors, and academic institutions to strengthen bilateral economic ties.

His mandate includes identifying and facilitating strategic investment opportunities, business transactions, joint ventures, and public-private partnerships between Nigerian and American enterprises.
