Renowned and controversial Nigerian highlife and juju musician, Iyun Janet Oluwatoyosi Ajilore, widely known by her stage name Saint Janet, has passed away in the early hours of Sunday, August 2, 2026, following a brief illness.

The news of her death was publicly announced on social media by publisher and socialite Otunba Femi Davies. Saint Janet, who earned the nickname “Mama Yabis” and was affectionately dubbed the “G.O. of Saint Bottles Cathedral” by her followers, achieved widespread fame with her hit track Faaji Plus.
