NYSC Announces August 5 Commencement Date for 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course
The Management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially scheduled Wednesday, August 5, 2026, for the nationwide commencement of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course.
The announcement was conveyed in a statement issued by the scheme’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu. According to the release, the three-week mandatory orientation exercise will run simultaneously across orientation camps in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), concluding on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The scheme confirmed that prospective corps members (PCMs) mobilised for this stream can now view their assigned Call-up Numbers directly on their respective online portal dashboards, with official Call-up Letters slated for release shortly.
In his address to the incoming corps members, the Director-General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, congratulated the PCMs on successfully completing their academic programs at home and abroad. He urged all prospective corps members to prioritize safety during their transit to camp, cautioning against late-night travel and emphasizing strict compliance with established travel guidelines throughout their journey.
The upcoming exercise follows the conclusion of the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I orientation course, which took place nationwide between June 10 and June 30.
