Troops Clash with Terrorists, Seize Operational Motorcycle During Zamfara Patrol
Troops of Operation Fansan Yamma have successfully engaged a group of suspected terrorists during a combat sweep in the Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The encounter resulted in a gun battle that forced the criminals to flee, leaving behind key logistics.
The clearance operation was executed by the Headquarters of the Operation Fansan Yamma Mobile Strike Team. While conducting a tactical fighting patrol to secure the Tubali and Galadi villages, the troops worked systematically to clear the Katuru Galadi–Tsibiri axis.
As the unit advanced into Tubali, they made direct contact with the armed suspects. A heavy firefight broke out immediately, but the superior firepower of the military forces ultimately overwhelmed the hostile fighters, forcing them to abandon their positions and escape into the dense surrounding brush.
During a thorough search and exploitation of the battleground, the soldiers recovered a motorcycle believed to have been utilized by the fleeing bandits for their local operations.
Security officials emphasized that this patrol is part of a continuous, aggressive campaign by Operation Fansan Yamma designed to dismantle established terrorist enclaves and heavily restrict their freedom of movement across Zamfara State.
