Unity of Akure Non-Negotiable, Declares Deji
The Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, has declared that the peace, progress, and absolute unity of Akure remain entirely non-negotiable, emphasizing that communal togetherness is the ultimate bedrock for sustainable development in the state capital.
Oba Aladelusi made these remarks while addressing key stakeholders, community leaders, and market associations at his palace. The monarch stressed that Akure has historically thrived on collective strength and peaceful coexistence, warning that any attempts by external or internal factions to foster division or incite avoidable rancor among residents would be firmly resisted by the traditional institution.
The traditional ruler further called on all sons and daughters of Akure, both at home and in the diaspora, to actively prioritize projects that elevate the socio-economic status of the kingdom. While commending various community organizations for their continuous support in maintaining law and order, the Deji urged security agencies and local vigilante groups to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding the capital city, reiterating that progress can only truly endure in an atmosphere of uninterrupted harmony.
