APC Support Group Launches One Million Votes Mobilisation Campaign in Southern Kaduna

A support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched the APC 1 Million Solidarity Votes Project in Southern Kaduna as part of efforts to mobilise grassroots support for the party ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The initiative was inaugurated on Saturday in Kafanchan and is designed to strengthen the APC’s structures across the ten local government areas in Southern Kaduna while targeting one million solidarity votes for the party and its candidates in the next general election.

The mobilisation campaign will cover Sanga, Jama’a, Kaura, Kauru, Zangon Kataf, Jaba, Kagarko, Kachia, Kajuru and Chikun local government areas.

The APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, who was represented by the Director of Election Management at the party’s National Headquarters, Tasiu Mohammed, described the project as a forward-looking grassroots initiative that aligns with the party’s strategy of expanding its support base through community engagement.

Speaking on behalf of Argungu, Mohammed said electoral victories depend largely on effective grassroots mobilisation, adding that the group’s goal of securing one million solidarity votes reflected confidence in the leadership and direction of the APC.

He urged members of the movement to remain united, uphold peaceful political participation and promote issue-based campaigns, while encouraging greater involvement of youths and women in the political process.

Mohammed also reaffirmed the commitment of the APC National Working Committee, led by National Chairman Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, to supporting grassroots initiatives that promote party unity and electoral success.

He subsequently declared the APC 1 Million Solidarity Votes Project for Southern Kaduna officially inaugurated on behalf of the National Organising Secretary.

The launch attracted government officials, party leaders and stakeholders from across the Southern Kaduna zone, including representatives of the Kaduna State Deputy Governor and the Minister of Defence.

Also in attendance were the Kaduna State Commissioner for Justice, the Head of Service, special advisers, special assistants to the governor, ward and local government party executives, community leaders and other APC members.

Organisers said the project is intended to deepen grassroots mobilisation, strengthen party cohesion and encourage wider participation among members as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
