Monarchs Hail Tinubu, Oyetola Over Osun Road Reconstruction
Traditional rulers in Osun State have praised President Bola Tinubu and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, over the reconstruction of a major road in the state. The monarchs said the project will bring relief to residents and boost economic activities in the area.
They spoke during a recent event to mark the progress of the road work.
The road had long been in a terrible state, causing suffering for motorists and residents. Many people had complained about the bad condition, which led to frequent accidents and delays. The reconstruction project, which is now underway, is seen as a major intervention by the federal government. The monarchs specifically thanked President Tinubu for approving the project.
The traditional rulers also gave special recognition to Oyetola, who is a former governor of Osun State. They noted that Oyetola played a key role in bringing the project to the state. According to the monarchs, Oyetola used his position in the federal cabinet to ensure the road was prioritized. They described him as a true son of the soil who has not forgotten his people.
Speaking at the event, one of the monarchs said the road will open up the area for farming and trade. He added that many communities that were previously cut off will now have access to cities and markets. The traditional rulers called on other leaders to follow the example of Tinubu and Oyetola by fixing more roads across the state. They also urged residents to protect the road once it is completed.
The reconstruction project is expected to be finished in the coming months. For now, residents of the affected communities are happy that work has finally begun. The praise from the monarchs adds to the growing number of people who are commending the federal government for its infrastructure push. Whether this will translate into political support in the future remains to be seen, but for today, the kings are singing the praises of Tinubu and Oyetola.
