Give Nigerians Visible Hope During Eid, CAN Charges Government

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has urged the government to provide real hope that citizens can see instead of empty promises.

The group made this call as Muslims across the country prepare to celebrate Eid-el-Kabir. According to CAN, many Nigerians are tired of hearing nice words without seeing real improvements in their daily lives.

CAN stressed that the current economic hardship has left many families struggling to put food on the table. The association believes this festive period should be used to bring genuine relief to the people.

They called on leaders to take visible actions that can restore confidence and ease the suffering of ordinary citizens.

The statement highlights the need for practical steps such as reducing the high cost of living, creating jobs, and improving security. CAN noted that celebrations like Eid-el-Kabir should come with real reasons for joy, not just temporary happiness that fades quickly.

The group prayed for peace and better days ahead for the nation.

Many Nigerians have welcomed CAN’s message, saying it reflects the true feelings of the people. As the country marks the festival, there are fresh calls for the government to show commitment through actions that can be felt by everyone, especially the poor and vulnerable.

This message from CAN serves as a reminder to leaders during this important season. While religious celebrations bring people together, the association believes lasting hope can only come from good governance and honest efforts to solve national problems. Nigerians hope the appeal will push those in power to do more for the country.
