Oyo Deputy Governor Assures Communities: Abducted Students Will Be Rescued

The Deputy Governor of Oyo State has assured residents and affected communities that security agencies are actively working to secure the release of students recently abducted within the state, pledging that government efforts are fully mobilized to ensure their safe return.

The assurance came amid growing concern and tension in the affected areas following the reported abduction of students, an incident that has sparked renewed calls for stronger security measures across schools and rural communities in the state.

According to the deputy governor, the state government is in close coordination with relevant security formations, including the police and other intelligence units, to track down the perpetrators and rescue the victims unharmed.

He urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing useful information that could aid ongoing operations. He further emphasized that the safety of students and residents remains a top priority of the administration, adding that no effort would be spared in ensuring that those responsible for the kidnapping are brought to justice.

Community leaders have also been encouraged to remain vigilant and support local security structures while government interventions continue. Meanwhile, anxiety persists among families of the abducted students as they await updates on rescue operations, with many calling for swift and decisive action from authorities.

Security operations are reportedly ongoing, though details of the incident, including the exact number of abducted students and the circumstances surrounding the attack, have not yet been officially confirmed by the state government at the time of filing this report.
