APC Chairman Backs Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Long-Term Prosperity
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (All Progressives Congress), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has reaffirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic blueprint, the Renewed Hope Agenda, is designed to deliver long-term prosperity and sustainable economic growth for Nigerians.
Yilwatda made the statement in a recent political briefing following the party’s House of Representatives primaries across the country, where he addressed concerns over Nigeria’s current economic situation and ongoing reforms.
He said the policies being implemented under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are not targeted at short-term political advantage but are part of a broader plan to restructure the economy and restore investor confidence.
According to him, the Renewed Hope Agenda focuses on rebuilding productivity, strengthening key sectors, and creating a foundation that will benefit future generations.
Great nations are not built on easy choices or temporary comforts, but on courageous decisions that secure the future of generations yet unborn,” he stated, noting that early indicators show gradual economic stabilisation.
Yilwatda acknowledged the hardship currently experienced by Nigerians, including inflation and rising living costs, but insisted that ongoing reforms are beginning to show positive outcomes in critical sectors such as oil production, infrastructure development, and manufacturing.
He further highlighted improvements in crude oil output, port operations, and increased investor interest as signs that the economy is steadily recovering under the administration’s policies.
The APC chairman also assured Nigerians that the government remains committed to job creation, economic stability, and inclusive growth, urging citizens to remain patient as reforms continue to take effect.
He emphasized that while the reforms may be challenging in the short term, they are necessary steps toward building a stronger and more resilient Nigerian economy.
