Plateau Recovers 60 Buildings, Vehicles, Equipment from Looters
Authorities in Plateau State have successfully recovered 60 buildings, along with vehicles and equipment, from looters.
The items were seized from individuals who had illegally taken over government or private properties.
The recovery operation was carried out after months of investigation. Security agents worked with state officials to track down the looters and reclaim the stolen assets. Many of the recovered buildings are located in the capital city of Jos.
Among the items retrieved are several vehicles and pieces of heavy equipment. Some of the looters had held onto these properties for years without any legal right. The state government has now vowed to return everything to their rightful owners.
Residents have welcomed the move, praising the government for taking action. Illegal property seizures have been a long-standing problem in Plateau State. Officials say more recoveries are likely as investigations continue across other local government areas.
The state government has warned that anyone still holding stolen property should return it immediately. Legal action will be taken against those who resist. For now, the recovered items are being kept in secure locations while ownership disputes are resolved.
