Oluremi Tinubu Visits Kaduna with Lawmakers’ Wives, Promotes Women Empowerment and National Unity
Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on Thursday paid an official visit to Kaduna State as part of her nationwide advocacy tour under the “Renewed Hope Initiative,” a social intervention programme aimed at empowering women, supporting youths, and promoting national cohesion.
The First Lady arrived in Kaduna accompanied by the wives of several members of the National Assembly. The delegation included spouses of both senators and members of the House of Representatives, reflecting a united front between the executive and legislative branches in addressing grassroots development issues, particularly those affecting women and vulnerable populations.
While in the state, Senator Tinubu engaged with government officials, community leaders, and women’s groups. She emphasized the need for sustained collaboration between federal and state institutions to uplift the socio-economic status of women and youths across Nigeria.
The visit also saw the distribution of empowerment items and support packages to selected beneficiaries, in line with her administration’s promise to extend a helping hand to the underprivileged.
Addressing a gathering in Kaduna, the First Lady reiterated the core objectives of the Renewed Hope Initiative, stressing that the programme is not just about welfare but about unlocking opportunities for women to become self-reliant and for communities to become more resilient.
She also used the occasion to advocate for greater unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic and religious communities.
Her visit to Kaduna marks another stop in a broader national tour aimed at ensuring that the Renewed Hope agenda touches all corners of the country.
As the First Lady continues to push for inclusive development, her presence in Kaduna reinforces the administration’s commitment to addressing local challenges through national solidarity and practical support.
