Soludo Appoints New Heads for Anambra Health Agencies
Governor Chukwuma Soludo has approved the appointment of new leadership across major health institutions in Anambra State as part of efforts to strengthen the healthcare system.
The appointments include Ezeaka Uwaeme as Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, Obianuju Okoye as Executive Secretary of the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, and Hillary Okeke as Executive Director of the Anambra State AIDS Control Agency.
The development was announced in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Christian Aburime.
According to the statement, the appointments were based on the appointees’ professional competence and are aimed at improving healthcare delivery across the state.
Uwaeme was described as a seasoned medical practitioner with more than 20 years of experience spanning clinical practice and health administration. Okoye, also a medical professional, was noted to have a strong background in public health alongside extensive experience in both clinical and administrative roles.
Okeke, the statement added, brings expertise in epidemiology and global health, with experience in research, clinical practice and academia.
The government expressed confidence that the new appointees would enhance the performance of the state’s health institutions.
