FG Ends Physical Verification of Academic Credentials, Moves Process Online

The Federal Government has stopped the physical verification of academic certificates and other credentials. All verification processes will now be done completely online.

This change is expected to make things faster and easier for graduates, job seekers, and employers across the country. The new system will allow people to verify their certificates from anywhere without visiting any office.

In the past, graduates had to travel long distances and spend time and money to get their certificates verified in person.

Many people faced delays and unnecessary stress during job applications or further studies. With the online system, verification can now be completed quickly through a digital platform. This will save time and reduce the cost for everyone involved.

The move is part of the government’s effort to improve public services and reduce bureaucracy. Officials say the online platform will be secure and reliable, with proper checks to prevent fraud. Employers and institutions will also be able to confirm credentials more easily and accurately.

This change is expected to bring more transparency into the system.

Students and fresh graduates have welcomed the new development. Many said it will help them focus on their careers instead of wasting time on physical verification. The government has assured the public that the digital system will be user-friendly and available to everyone. Training and support will be provided for those who need help using the platform.

This decision marks a big step towards digital transformation in Nigeria’s education and employment sectors. As the online verification system begins, many hope it will make processes smoother and encourage more young people to pursue higher education and formal jobs. The Federal Government believes this change will benefit both individuals and the country as a whole.
