By 𝔸bdulrazak Tomiwa

The Ogun State Government has appointed Mrs. Feyisara Bolarinwa-Adebowale as the new Director-General of the State Bureau of Public Procurement.

The appointment was announced by Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, a move that marks a significant leadership transition.

A seasoned legal professional, Mrs. Bolarinwa-Adebowale succeeds the late Dr. Adesina Olanloye. Her elevation to this position follows a notable career within the state’s civil service, defined by a strong reputation for administrative competence.

Born in 1978, the new Director-General attended Anglican Girls’ Grammar School, Ijebu-Ode. She earned her Law degree from Olabisi Onabanjo University and completed her professional legal training at the Nigerian Law School’s Lagos Campus.

Her career in the Ogun State Civil Service began in 2005 as a State Counsel. She consistently rose through the ranks, eventually serving as the Deputy Director of Civil Litigation within the Ministry of Justice.

Prior to this appointment, she served as a Legal Officer within the Bureau of Public Procurement. This internal experience provided her with the essential operational knowledge required to lead the agency effectively.

This appointment aligns with Governor Dapo Abiodun’s goal of enhancing transparency and accountability in public contracting. By selecting a legal expert, the administration aims to ensure rigorous adherence to due process.
