Houthi Rebels Threaten Attack Resumption on Israel, Red Sea Shipping

The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have declared they will resume missile and drone attacks against Israel and international shipping routes.
This decision follows a period of relative calm and is a direct response to the massive overnight airstrikes launched by the U.S. and Israel against Iran.
According to senior Houthi officials, the pause in hostilities which had been part of a previous deal with the Trump administration is now over. The group intends to demonstrate full support for Tehran as regional tensions reach a breaking point.
The rebels have warned that any vessels linked to Israel or its allies in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are now considered legitimate targets.
This move threatens to reignite a maritime crisis that has previously disrupted nearly 15% of global trade.
Security analysts believe the first of these new attacks could occur as early as tonight. The Houthis have previously demonstrated the ability to strike deep into southern Israel, including the port city of Eilat, using advanced long-range weaponry.
The IDF has already instructed civilians in several areas to remain near bomb shelters, anticipating a coordinated response from Iran’s “Axis of Resistance.” International shipping firms are once again being advised to reroute vessels around the Cape of Good Hope.
While the Houthi leadership has not yet released a formal public broadcast, officials speaking on the condition of anonymity confirmed that their forces are on high alert.
The group’s military capabilities remain a significant wild card in the escalating multi-front conflict.
Addressing their commitment to the Iranian cause and the regional struggle, Houthi officials emphasized that their first attack could come as soon as“tonight.”
