Kano Gov Officially Returns to APC
Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has formally returned to the All Progressives Congress.
The Governor’s transition back to the ruling party was finalized on Monday during a ceremony held at the Coronation Hall within the Kano Government House.
A delegation of high-ranking officials welcomed him, led by APC National Chairman and former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, alongside Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Minister Yusuf Ata, and various other party stalwarts.
Yusuf explained that his decision to rejoin the APC was motivated by a desire to foster a more effective partnership with the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
This move follows Yusuf’s recent resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) the platform that brought him to power in 2023 and he was joined in this exit by numerous state and federal lawmakers.
