Abeokuta North Breaks Ground on 300-Unit Housing Project

On April 17th, Dr. Lanre Oyegbola Sodipo, Chairman of Abeokuta North Local Government, launched construction of a 300-unit residential estate.

The project, featuring both two and three-bedroom homes, signifies a major push to modernize communities and bolster regional infrastructure.

The initiative aligns with Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s broader housing agenda, bringing tangible improvements to Abeokuta North during Dr. Sodipo’s tenure.

The ground-breaking event was attended by local dignitaries, community figures, and residents, all witnessing the start of what is anticipated to be a transformative undertaking for the area.

Dr. Sodipo reaffirmed his council’s dedication to extending the Governor’s vision throughout Ogun State. He described the estate as more than just buildings – a catalyst for enhanced living standards and societal bonds. The development aims to provide accessible, quality homes, enriching the social and economic wellbeing of residents as a direct benefit of democratic governance.

Local community associations, including the ACDC and CDA, voiced strong endorsement, commending Dr. Sodipo and Governor Abiodun for delivering this unprecedented project to Obasa. They anticipate the housing will foster greater unity within the area.

With construction now underway, the Abeokuta North council, under Dr. Sodipo’s leadership, is committed to strengthening community ties and upgrading facilities, while ensuring the homes remain financially accessible to residents.
