Plateau United Receives Major Boost for Ikorodu City Clash
Plateau United has received a significant and timely boost ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 13 encounter against Ikorodu City on Sunday, November 16, 2025.
The “Peace Boys” will welcome the immediate return of two prolific forwards, Nirot Silas and Yusuf Abdullahi, after they were finally cleared by the league authorities to play for the club. Silas rejoined Plateau United from Rangers, while Abdullahi moved from Kano Pillars at the start of the season.
The clearance of the two key players provides crucial motivation for the Jos-based club as they travel to Lagos for the match against high-flying Ikorodu City.
Plateau United, currently sitting in the mid-to-lower half of the NPFL table (15th place with 15 points after 12 matches), is seeking to record their first away win of the season.
Their opponents, Ikorodu City, are enjoying a strong start to the season and are currently third on the table with 21 points.
