PDP, Atiku Celebrates Bauchi Governor at 67

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Nigeria’s former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, have felicitated with Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, on the occasion of his 67th birthday. In separate goodwill messages on Saturday, the PDP described Governor Mohammed, who is also the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, as an exemplary leader whose commitment to good governance has positively impacted the lives of Bauchi residents and strengthened the party’s ideals at the national level. Atiku, in his congratulatory note shared on his official social media handle, lauded the governor’s dedication to public service, describing him as a visionary leader whose strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare and social development have redefined Bauchi State’s growth trajectory. He prayed for more wisdom, strength and good health for the governor as he continues to serve the people. The Bauchi State Government also marked the occasion with tributes highlighting the governor’s decades of service in journalism, the federal civil service, the National Assembly, and the Federal Executive Council, before assuming office as governor in 2019 and winning re-election in 2023. The government praised his achievements in areas such as road construction, rural electrification, agricultural support, and youth empowerment. Political leaders, traditional rulers, and residents across Bauchi also joined in the celebrations, commending Governor Mohammed for his accessibility, people-focused policies, and commitment to peace and development in the state. Governor Bala Mohammed, who clocked 67 on October 5, 2025, has emerged as one of the prominent figures within the PDP, playing a key role in shaping the party’s position on national issues while championing grassroots development initiatives in Bauchi State.
