Sanwo-Olu Commends Team Lagos for Emerging Champions at National Youth Games

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Team Lagos for their historic performance at the 9th National Youth Games in Asaba, where the state finished first on the medals table.

In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, the governor expressed immense pride in the young athletes, who clinched a total of 110 medals — comprising 52 gold, 32 silver, and 26 bronze.

Sanwo-Olu commended the athletes, their coaches, and the Lagos State Sports Commission for their hard work and resilience, describing the victory as a testament to Lagos’ growing strength in sports.

He added that plans are underway to host the victorious team in recognition of their remarkable achievement.

“Congratulations, Team Lagos. We are very proud of you all,” the governor stated.
