Soludo Rallies Grassroots Support, Highlights APGA’s Achievements Ahead of Polls

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has declared that effective governance must begin at the grassroots level to ensure that the real needs of the people are captured and addressed.

Governor Soludo made this known during a visit to several markets in Anaocha Local Government Area on Thursday, as part of his ongoing consultations with residents ahead of the state’s November 8 governorship election.

Speaking to traders and local residents in Aguluzuigbo, Ichida, Obeledu, and Nimo communities, Soludo emphasized the importance of direct engagement with the people in driving sustainable development.

“Effective governance must begin at the grassroots level, working collaboratively with local leaders and citizens to create lasting change,” the governor said.

He noted that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), the ruling party in the state, is already on the right path in implementing policies that touch every sector, including infrastructure, commerce, education, and healthcare.

Governor Soludo highlighted his administration’s ongoing efforts to improve market conditions across the state. These include initiatives to enhance infrastructure, expand access to micro-loans for small businesses, and ensure a safer, more conducive environment for trade.

“Our markets are the lifeblood of local economies. We are focused on upgrading facilities, empowering our traders, and creating better opportunities for growth,” he said.

The governor also listed several ongoing infrastructure projects in Anaocha LGA, expressing satisfaction with the progress made so far while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to transparency and inclusive governance.

“Together, we will ensure that the voices of our people are not just heard, but acted upon. Our strength lies in our unity, and as we continue to work together, there is nothing we cannot achieve,” he added.

Soludo’s visit comes as political campaigns begin to intensify ahead of the November election, with his administration touting its achievements as a foundation for continuity.

Residents and market leaders who received the governor commended him for his accessibility and people-centered approach, urging him to sustain the developmental momentum across rural and urban communities.

The governor assured them that his government would continue to prioritize projects that have direct impact on livelihoods, especially in underserved areas.
