Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has approved the construction of a rehabilitation centre in Nibo, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The decision was taken at the 12th Executive Council meeting
The project, valued at ₦417.32 million, has been awarded to Triseconds Resources Limited. The facility is designed to provide transitional care and support services for individuals discharged from mental health institutions, aiding their reintegration into society.
According to the government, the centre will offer mental health support, skills training, and rehabilitation services aimed at helping former patients lead independent and productive lives.

It also aligns with the administration’s “Anambra Rebirth Programme,” which promotes values such as dignity of labour, integrity, and community development.
The council also approved additional infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the Solution Hub and Park, redesign of the Aroma Flyover, construction of housing units for judicial officers, and enhanced perimeter fencing at Safari Park.
Meanwhile, the state government has announced that the newly completed Solution Fun City in Awka will be officially opened on June 28, 2025, with performances by artists, including Flavour and Umu Obiligbo.
