CAN President, Okoh Felicitates with Muslims on Eid-el-Kabir
Archbishop Daniel Okoh, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has extended heartfelt greetings to the Muslim community as they mark the 2025 Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.
He emphasized the importance of embracing the values of sacrifice, love, and kindness that this festive occasion embodies, which are common to both Christians and Muslims.
Okoh noted that this joyous occasion presents an opportunity for Nigerians to foster greater unity and understanding among people of different faiths. By coming together to celebrate, Nigerians can demonstrate that their shared humanity is stronger than any divisions.
The CAN President also took a moment to express his condolences to the government and people of Niger State, who have been affected by severe flooding in the Mokwa area.
He pledged that the Christian Association of Nigeria is committed to providing support to those in need and will work closely with the government and other organizations to ensure that aid reaches those affected.
Okoh urged churches and individual Christians to offer assistance to those affected by the flooding, whether through donations of food, clothing, or financial support, or simply by offering prayers and words of comfort.
He emphasized that even small acts of kindness can have a significant impact on those struggling to cope with the aftermath of the disaster.
As the Muslim community celebrates Eid-el-Kabir, Okoh wished them a peaceful and joyful observance of the festival. He also reaffirmed the Christian Association of Nigeria’s commitment to praying for the recovery and healing of the people of Niger State.
