2Baba Dismisses Reconciliation Rumours as Old Video with Ex-Wife Annie Idibia Resurfaces Online

Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has shut down speculation that he and his ex-wife, Annie Idibia, have rekindled their romance after an old video of the pair dancing affectionately together resurfaced online and quickly went viral.

The clip, which spread widely over the weekend, shows Tubaba dressed in a stylish outfit complete with a hat, holding Annie close as the two danced together to his hit song Amaka, with Annie dressed in a fashionable crop top for the occasion.

The footage stirred fresh excitement among fans, many of whom took to social media to suggest that the former couple had found their way back to each other.

Reacting to the growing chatter, 2Baba took to his Instagram page to set the record straight, writing that the clip was simply an old video and attaching several laughing emojis to his post.

His response echoed an earlier clarification from Annie, who had already addressed the speculation on her own Instagram Stories, describing the circulating footage as old and dismissing the narrative as false news making the rounds online.

The pair officially announced their separation last year, with 2Baba confirming the development in a statement shared on his social media pages at the time. Since then, Annie has focused on rebuilding her life and embracing motherhood, having previously stated that she considers herself not a single mother but simply a woman raising her children on her own terms.

Despite both parties moving on, moments of affection from their years together as one of Nigeria’s most publicised celebrity couples continue to resurface periodically online, often reigniting public interest and conversation around their relationship long after their marriage came to an end.
