Suspected gunmen have killed three people in a fresh attack on Torok community in Rim Village of Riyom Local Government Area in Plateau State. The incident, which occurred in the evening, left residents in shock and forced many to flee their homes for safety.

The victims were identified as Ezekiel Zakka, David Yakubu, and Dauda Habila.

The assailants stormed the community and opened fire on residents before escaping into the surrounding areas. The attack has once again raised concerns about the persistent insecurity in parts of Plateau State. Local groups have condemned the killings and called on security agencies to act swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Berom Youth Moulders Association described the incident as barbaric and urged the government to do more to protect vulnerable communities.

They appealed for improved intelligence gathering and sustained security presence in flashpoints to prevent further attacks. The association also extended condolences to the bereaved families and the entire community.

This latest violence adds to the long list of attacks that have troubled the state, disrupting lives and economic activities.
