A routine visit to a barbing salon turned into a life-changing moment for a young barber after Delta State billionaire businessman and philanthropist, Chief Dr. Daniel Omoyibo, popularly known as Danmotech, gifted him N5 million to start his own business.

According to accounts of the encounter, Danmotech had initially approached one barber at the salon but walked away after both parties failed to agree on the cost of the haircut.As he was about to leave, another barber invited him to his seat and offered to attend to him at an agreeable price.

During their conversation while the haircut was underway, Danmotech learned that the barber, identified as Suleyman from Kogi State, was working for the owner of the salon.Curious about the young man’s aspirations, the businessman asked how much he would need to establish his own barbing shop. The barber estimated that opening a standard salon would cost between N2 million and N3 million.

Moved by his response, Danmotech made a spontaneous decision that would alter the barber’s destiny. “I’m going to give you five million for you to go and establish your own,” he declared.He added, “You said two to three million you can establish, right? God has made this five million there for you. You can rent your house, you can do your business. So thank you and God bless you.”

The philanthropist immediately requested the barber’s account details and transferred the sum on the spot, a moment captured in a video that has since gone viral on social media.

The visibly emotional barber, when asked if he had known Danmotech before the encounter, replied, “I never know him before. This is my first time of seeing him.”

Danmotech also offered the barber wise counsel, urging him not to fall out with his employer over the generous gesture. “Tell your guy not to take offence. Still serve your guy this month. Tell him next month, this man don empower me, so I will establish my own,” he advised.
