Tinubu Has Done More for North Than Any Previous Leader, Says Uba Sani

Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has said President Bola Tinubu’s administration has delivered more development projects to Northern Nigeria than any previous government, citing investments in infrastructure, agriculture and healthcare as evidence.

Speaking during an interview on ARISE Television on Tuesday, Sani also dismissed claims that the President had lost support in the North ahead of the 2027 general election, expressing confidence that Tinubu would secure more votes in the region than he did in the 2023 presidential poll.

According to the governor, the administration has made significant progress on major infrastructure projects, including the Abuja-Kaduna highway, which he said is expected to be completed later this year after substantial funding was released to the contractor.

He also highlighted the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari road, saying the project, which had remained abandoned for more than two decades, has received fresh funding under the current administration.

Sani further credited the Federal Government with supporting agricultural development in Kaduna State through interventions such as fertiliser distribution and the implementation of the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) programme.

The governor also listed the establishment of a Federal University of Science and Technology in Southern Kaduna, the upgrade of a state hospital to a Federal Medical Centre, and the approval of the Kaduna light rail project among the administration’s achievements in the state.

He maintained that the projects reflect the Federal Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure, boosting economic development and enhancing the welfare of residents across Northern Nigeria.

Sani insisted that the administration’s performance would translate into increased electoral support for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
