104 Soldiers Still Missing Weeks After Boko Haram’s Attack on Borno Military Base
Over 104 Nigerian soldiers have remained missing three weeks after Boko Haram attacks in Borno military base.
The attack which occurred along the Mandare Buratai road, resulted in the death of eight soldiers and left many others injured.
The soldiers were attached to the 162 Battalion, along the Mandara-Buratal road in Borno state.
The attackers reportedly carried out a brutal assualt on the soldiers stationed there by beheading eight soldiers in action.
The terrorists barged into the military base in their large numbers and took troops unaware.
Also, 104 soldiers remain unaccounted for till date. A source said it has not been determined whether they are dead or ran away. However, the Nigerian army has declared the affected soldiers wanted for desertion.
