EFCC, Immigration,Amotekun Deploy to Governor Oyebanji’s Polling Unit
Operatives from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Western Nigeria Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, have arrived at the polling unit of the Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji.
The security and anti-graft officials took up strategic positions at Ward 6, Unit 3, Ikogosi-Ekiti, in the Erinjiyan/Ikogosi local council area, ahead of the arrival of the governor.
The presence of the EFCC operatives at the polling station is part of a broader, proactive deployment by the anti-corruption agency to monitor electoral processes, deter vote-buying, and maintain financial integrity at the grassroots level. Concurrently, officers from the Immigration Service and the subnational Amotekun Corps are working in synergy with regular law enforcement units to fortify the external perimeter, verify voter credentials, and prevent any breakdown of law and order during the voting exercise.
