Federal High Court Mourns Passing of Kano Judge

The Federal High Court of Nigeria is in mourning following the death of one of its judges. Hon. Justice Mohammed Nasir Yunusa, who served in the Kano Judicial Division.

He passed away after a brief illness. His sudden death has left many colleagues and members of the judiciary saddened by the loss of a dedicated servant.

Justice Yunusa died on May 21, 2026, at a medical centre in Kano. He had been a respected figure in the court, known for his commitment to justice and hard work. The court announced the sad news and expressed deep sorrow over the passing of this experienced jurist.

Many in the legal community have remembered him as a fair and upright judge who contributed greatly during his time on the bench. His colleagues described him as a man of integrity who always worked with dedication.

The loss is felt not only in Kano but across the federal judiciary.
