A massive fire has gutted a plastic factory in Anambra State, destroying goods and property worth millions of naira.

The emergency incident, which caused widespread panic in the industrial zone, was reportedly triggered by welding activities being carried out on the premises.

The sparks quickly ignited highly inflammable raw materials, causing the flames to spread rapidly across the production and storage sections of the facility.

Anambra State fire fighters and emergency first responders were mobilized to the scene to battle the inferno. Thanks to their prompt intervention alongside local volunteers, the heavy blaze was successfully brought under control before it could spread to neighboring structures.

Fortunately, authorities have confirmed that no lives were lost and no casualties were recorded in the incident, though the factory owners are currently left to count massive financial losses from the razed infrastructure and finished products.
