Access Bank UK Polo Day to Raise Funds for Vulnerable Children’s Education
Access Bank UK has announced that its 2026 Polo Day will focus on raising funds and strengthening partnerships to expand access to education for vulnerable children in Nigeria and other underserved communities.
The annual charity event is scheduled to hold on July 4 in Windsor, England, and is expected to attract business leaders, philanthropists, royalty and high-net-worth individuals in support of initiatives aimed at keeping more children in school.
According to the bank, the event has grown beyond a social gathering into a fundraising platform that supports educational development through the construction of classrooms, learning programmes and the provision of essential educational materials.
Access Bank UK said proceeds from previous editions, implemented through partnerships with UNICEF and other local organisations, have enabled thousands of vulnerable children to remain in school despite economic and social challenges.
The bank said this year’s edition is designed to expand the impact of those interventions by mobilising greater support to improve both the reach and quality of education programmes.
Managing Director of Access Bank UK, Jamie Simmonds, said the initiative is aimed at creating educational opportunities for children who need them most.
He said bringing together strategic partners and supporters has enabled the bank to deliver meaningful outcomes that positively affect the lives of vulnerable children.
The event will also feature His Royal Highness, Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, who will attend as the Special Guest of Honour and present the Emir’s Cup.
According to the bank, the Emir’s participation underscores the event’s commitment to bringing together leadership, cultural heritage and philanthropy in support of social development.
Access Bank UK noted that although the Polo Day has become a prominent fixture on the social calendar, its central objective remains improving access to education for disadvantaged children.
It added that the 2026 edition is expected to make a lasting impact by helping more children gain access to quality education and better opportunities for the future.
