Nigeria Police Force Honours 17 Officers Killed in Terror Attack on Army School

The Nigeria Police Force has officially announced the tragic loss of 17 police officers who paid the supreme price during a violent insurgent attack targeting an Army school and its surrounding security perimeter.

In a solemn statement issued from the Force Headquarters, the police leadership expressed deep mourning for the fallen personnel, describing them as gallant heroes who demonstrated exceptional bravery in the face of overwhelming danger. The officers were deployed as part of a joint security reinforcement team when heavily armed hostile elements launched a coordinated assault on the military facility.

The Force emphasized that the immense sacrifice of the 17 officers underscores the profound risks and unyielding commitment of law enforcement personnel working in synergy with the military to safeguard national institutions and restore peace to troubled regions.

The Inspector General of Police extended heartfelt condolences to the families, colleagues, and loved ones of the deceased officers. He assured that the police high command, in collaboration with the military, has initiated an aggressive counter-operation to track down the perpetrators, promising that their sacrifice will not be in vain as security forces remain resolute in dismantling criminal networks across the country.
