Nigerian Discos Recorded N242.29 Billion Billing, N196.68 Billion Revenue in February, NERC Reports
Electricity distribution companies in Nigeria recorded a combined billing of N242.29bn and generated N196.68bn revenue in February 2026, representing a collection efficiency of 81.2 per cent.
Data released by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission and published by TheCable Index showed that Abuja Electricity Distribution Company recorded the highest billing and revenue collection during the period.
According to the figures, Abuja Disco posted N43.29bn in billing and collected N38.65bn in revenue, while Ikeja Disco followed with N40.89bn billing and N35.11bn revenue.
Eko Disco ranked third with N36.08bn billed and N33.96bn collected.
Ibadan Disco recorded N25.59bn in billing and generated N18.55bn revenue, while Enugu Disco posted N20.36bn billing and N13.78bn collection.
Port Harcourt Disco billed customers N18.56bn and collected N15.60bn, while Benin Disco recorded N18.36bn billing and N15.97bn revenue.
Kano Disco posted N12.94bn billing with N8.08bn revenue collection, while Jos Disco recorded N11.28bn billing and N8.04bn revenue.
Yola Disco recorded the lowest figures among the listed distribution companies, with N4.46bn billing and N3.70bn revenue collection.
Overall, the 10 distribution companies generated N196.68bn out of the N242.29bn billed to customers during the month under review.
The figures indicate continued challenges in revenue recovery across parts of the power sector despite improvements in collection efficiency by some distribution companies.
