Mr Ibu’s Widow Denies Selling Husband’s Properties Secretly

Stella Maris Okafor, the widow of late Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has denied allegations that she sold her husband’s properties without the consent of the family. She made the clarification in response to recent claims circulating on social media and in some reports.

Mrs Okafor stated that she has not sold any of the properties and has been transparent in handling family matters since her husband’s death.

The widow explained that she is focused on taking care of the children and managing the estate responsibly. She said all decisions regarding the late actor’s properties are being handled with the knowledge of the family. Mrs Okafor urged the public to disregard false stories aimed at tarnishing her image and causing division within the family.

This denial comes after several reports suggested that she had secretly sold some assets and kept the money for herself. The late Mr Ibu was a beloved comedian and actor whose death left many fans and family members in mourning. His widow has been under pressure as she tries to settle his affairs and care for their children.

Mrs Okafor appealed to the public to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time. She emphasised that her priority is to honour her late husband’s legacy and ensure the well-being of their children. The family is working together to resolve any issues and move forward.

This situation highlights the challenges that often arise after the death of a public figure. Many fans of Mr Ibu have called for peace and understanding as the family deals with their loss. The widow’s statement aims to clear the air and stop the spread of unverified rumours.
