Chief Maadaki Submits Forms, Demands Direct Primary for Adamawa Governorship

Chief Joel Hamajoda Maadaki has formally submitted his nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the governorship of Adamawa State under the All Progressives Congress (APC). The aspirant made the declaration while speaking to journalists after completing the submission process. He described his mission as a desire to serve the people of Adamawa through democratic means.

Chief Maadaki made it clear that he is ready for primaries and not interested in any consensus arrangement.

He stated that no one should be imposed as a candidate, and the party should allow direct primaries so that party members can freely choose their preferred candidate. He expressed confidence in his preparedness for the contest.

The governorship aspirant emphasised the need for unity in Adamawa State. He noted that the state has both Christians and Muslims who are working together peacefully.

According to him, religion and ethnicity should not be used to divide the people, and he is ready to navigate any challenges that may arise during the election process.

Chief Joel Hamajoda Maadaki assured that he is fully prepared for the race. He said he has been an interventionist all his life and is coming to deliver good governance to the people of Adamawa if given the mandate. He called for a fair and transparent primary election.

This development has added fresh momentum to the race for Adamawa governorship ahead of the 2027 elections. Chief Maadaki’s strong position on direct primaries and unity has started generating discussions across the state. Many are now watching to see how his ambition will shape the political landscape in Adamawa.
