Oyebamiji Pledges Not to Betray Trust, Unveils Seven-Point Agenda for Osun
Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, has assured residents that he will uphold their trust if elected, outlining a development agenda aimed at economic growth and improved welfare.
Oyebamiji gave the assurance on Sunday during an engagement with members of the Nigerian Society of Professional Tailors in Osogbo, where he reiterated his commitment to delivering on campaign promises. He spoke through Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, chairman of the APC campaign council’s civic engagement committee.
The candidate said his recently unveiled seven-point agenda, themed “Prosperity,” would guide his administration if voted into office. He explained that the programme focuses on key areas including poverty reduction, workers’ welfare, job creation, transparency, economic expansion, security, education, and infrastructure development.
He emphasised that the plan was designed to address pressing needs in the state and reposition its economy, urging voters to support his candidacy. Oyebamiji also pledged targeted support for artisans and small businesses, noting their contributions to economic activity in the state.
According to him, a significant portion of the agenda prioritises growth opportunities and support mechanisms for small and medium enterprises, which he said would be fully implemented to strengthen local businesses.
The APC candidate further called on voters to disregard criticisms from opposition parties, describing the reactions as a response to the perceived strength of his policy proposals. He expressed confidence that his plans would transform the state if given the mandate.
In response, Rasheed Balogun, chairman of the tailors’ association, commended Oyebamiji’s approach and expressed support for his candidacy, citing previous interactions during his tenure as commissioner for finance.
