Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has reconciled with her former husband, Opeyemi Falegan, four years after their highly publicised separation.

The reconciliation occurred during a TikTok live session on Saturday night, where both parties revisited the circumstances surrounding their bitter fallout and addressed some of the issues that had persisted since their split.

Nkechi disclosed that she and Falegan had been discussing reconciliation since February 2026 but insisted that he needed to publicly apologise for remarks he made about her during their dispute.

The actress said some of the statements made during their breakup continued to resurface online and were being used by trolls to attack her.

She explained that despite the passage of time, comments made on the internet remained difficult to erase.

“I told you in February that if we must do this, you have to apologise to me because what you said years ago, some irrelevant nitwits still used it to insult me yesterday. That is to tell you that the internet never forgets,” she said.

Falegan, who is based in the United States and serves in the military, subsequently apologised to the actress, acknowledging that both of them had contributed to the conflict.

“From the bottom of my heart to the depth of my soul, I’m sorry, Nkechi. That’s in the past,” he said.

The reconciliation marks a turnaround from the acrimonious end to their relationship in April 2022, when the former couple exchanged allegations against each other on social media.

Months later, in September 2022, Nkechi said during an appearance on the television programme Your View that she had entered the relationship with Falegan partly as a way of getting back at a former partner.

Falegan subsequently reacted to the claim, accusing the actress of being motivated by his money and sex.

At the time, he also ruled out the possibility of reviving their relationship, declaring that once he decided to leave, he would not look for an excuse to return.

Four years after their public fallout, however, the former couple has now publicly announced their reconciliation.
