Don Jazzy Opens Applications for 2027 Tech Scholarship, With Tuition Waivers of Up to 100 Percent
Mavin Records founder Don Jazzy has unveiled a technology scholarship for young Nigerians, partnering with TS Academy to offer tuition waivers of up to 100 percent on the academy’s 2027 training programmes.
The Don Jazzy Tech Scholarship 2027 was announced on Monday, October 26, and applications are now open.
Applicants can train in artificial intelligence and automation, data analytics, cybersecurity, software development, product design, digital marketing, content creation, virtual assistance and project management, among other fields.
Most of the courses are beginner-friendly, so no prior experience in technology is required. The tuition on offer is reportedly worth up to ₦447,000 per student.
Beyond tuition, the programme advertises 50 free laptops, data support for 500 students, and internship and job placement support for beneficiaries. TS Academy says it is accredited by the American Council of Training and Development, and training will run online, physically or in a hybrid format, typically for three to six months depending on the track. Intakes are scheduled for February, March and July 2027.
To apply, interested Nigerians should visit the programme’s official portal at donjazzy.tsacademyonline.com, which is also linked in Don Jazzy’s social media bio. They are to click the option to apply for the scholarship, complete the online form with their personal details, educational background, chosen course and motivation, and submit it for review.
The academy says applicants will be selected on motivation, alignment with their chosen tech path, commitment to completing the programme, eligibility and genuine financial need, subject to available resources. The application deadline is November 30, 2026.
The announcement has drawn some criticism online. Some social media users argue that the “scholarship” label is misleading because successful applicants are still expected to pay an application or acceptance fee of about ₦26,000, although the academy says selected candidates get an additional discount on that fee.
Supporters counter that the fee is a commitment mechanism to filter out applicants who are not serious about finishing the course.
