Idemili Stakeholders Endorse NDC’s Anyamene for House of Representatives

Stakeholders in Idemili Federal Constituency of Anambra State have endorsed the candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, Eric Anyamene, for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general election.

The endorsement was announced during Anyamene’s visit to the constituency, where he was received by Chief Maurice Ebo, described as a political leader in the area, alongside other stakeholders and supporters.

The gathering attracted members and supporters of several political parties, including the Labour Party, Peoples Democratic Party and All Progressives Congress, who were said to have expressed interest in joining the NDC.

Ebo said the movement was aimed at providing an alternative political platform for residents of the constituency, alleging that existing political parties had failed to adequately address the interests of the people.

He said he had begun mobilising residents, particularly in Ogidi, towards the NDC ahead of the 2027 elections.

Anyamene expressed satisfaction with the reception and the turnout at the meeting, particularly the presence of individuals previously associated with other political parties.

The NDC candidate also visited several polling units in Ogidi during the tour, where he interacted with residents and inspected preparations ahead of the election.

He urged eligible voters to comply with the requirements of the Independent National Electoral Commission to ensure they are able to cast their ballots during the January 16, 2027 election.

Anyamene was accompanied on the visit by members of his campaign team and supporters.
