President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Paris, France, for Nigeria after concluding his working vacation, with his aircraft expected to arrive at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos later on Tuesday.

Tinubu is scheduled to spend the next few days in Lagos, where he will honour the memory of late Chief Moshood Abiola, widely recognised as the winner of the June 12, 1993 presidential election.

The President is expected to attend the premiere of a movie commemorating Abiola on Independence Day at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.

During his stay in Lagos, Tinubu will also hold strategic meetings with political leaders and associates as part of preparations for the 2027 elections.

The President departed Abuja on August 30 for the working vacation, spending a week in London before travelling to Paris.

In Paris, Tinubu held a private dinner with French President Emmanuel Macron and met with several business leaders, including Vincent Bolloré of the Bolloré Group, whose media and digital interests include Canal+, MultiChoice and Universal Music Group.

He also met with the Chairman of First Holdings, Femi Otedola, on Monday.

Last week, the President witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Ogun State Government and DP World for the development of a Gateway deep seaport in Ogun Waterside and the establishment of a Blue Marine Economic Zone.

DP World is expected to invest $7 billion in the seaport and economic zone.

Tinubu is expected to return to Abuja after completing his political engagements in Lagos.
