Former Bauchi State Governor, Isa Yuguda has dismissed reports of his death, assuring Nigerians that he is alive and in good health.

The false claims triggered widespread concern, especially in Bauchi State, where many people contacted him to confirm his condition.

Speaking at the weekend, Yuguda disclosed that he recently underwent surgery for a back-related problem. He said he had recovered well and was responding positively to treatment.

The former governor explained that illness can affect anyone at any time and that life remains in God’s hands. He stressed that while he had been unwell, his health had now been restored.

Yuguda said he was spending most of his time at home on doctors’ advice following the back surgery. He noted that as people age, the vertebrae can suffer from friction caused by prolonged sitting, which could lead to serious complications if not properly managed.

He expressed gratitude to God for his recovery and said he remained in good spirits despite the false report of his death. The clarification has helped put the rumours to rest.
