The National Youth Leader of the African Democratic Congress, Sultan Bello, has resigned from the party. He submitted his formal resignation letter on September 24, 2026.

Bello addressed the letter to the Chairman of Ja’oji Gyadi Gyadi Arewa Ward in Tarauni Local Government Area of Kano State. The resignation took effect immediately and followed four years of service to the party from 2022 to 2026.

He linked his decision to being left off a campaign council list despite his active contributions. In a post on his social media account, Bello described the experience as a hard lesson, noting that those who worked hard were still excluded from the team.

The former youth leader said he had no hard feelings over the development. His exit has drawn attention within the party as preparations for the 2027 elections continue.

Bello’s resignation adds to ongoing discussions about internal arrangements and campaign structures within the ADC. He has previously held leadership roles in the party and remains active in political conversations in Kano State.
