PDP Chieftain Hails Oyebanji for Donating 100 Vehicles to Security Agencies

A Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in Ekiti State, Dr Oluwole Oluyede, has praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji for distributing 100 operational vehicles to security agencies in the state. He described the move as a significant investment in Ekiti’s security structure.

Oluyede, who was the PDP candidate in the June 20 governorship election, said the vehicles would improve the mobility, visibility and rapid response capacity of security personnel across the state. He spoke in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday.

He noted that the vehicles were given to the Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Department of State Services and local security outfits. According to him, the intervention shows the importance the state government attaches to the safety of residents.

Oluyede stressed that security is the foundation for meaningful development, as peace and safety allow people to benefit from government programmes, businesses to grow and investors to gain confidence. He urged the security agencies to use the vehicles effectively and maintain them properly so they can serve the public for a long time.

He also called for stronger collaboration among the various security agencies, including better intelligence sharing and coordinated operations. Oluyede appealed to traditional rulers, community leaders, youth groups, religious bodies and residents to continue supporting the agencies with useful information that can help prevent crime.
