Troops Arrest 5 Suspected Criminals, Recover Fabricated AK-47 in Kaduna
Troops of Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71, Sanga, in collaboration with Operation PULAKO, have arrested five suspected criminals and recovered a fabricated AK-47 rifle during clearance operations in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The operation was conducted at about 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, following intelligence on the activities of suspected criminals operating from hideouts in the area.
The troops raided suspected hideouts in Kibam, Ungwan Haruna, Nunku and Fadan Wate villages, where they arrested the suspects.
The suspects were identified as Mamman Manu, 22; Musa Lawal, 40; Dahiru Usman, 25; Mammuda Muhammed, 50; and Saleh Idi, 40.
A fabricated AK-47 rifle was recovered during the operation.
Preliminary investigation indicated that the suspects were allegedly involved in activities that had been terrorising residents of Sanga and neighbouring communities.
The suspects and recovered weapon are currently in military custody for further investigation and necessary legal action.
The troops have continued clearance operations in the area as part of efforts to dismantle criminal hideouts and improve security in vulnerable communities.
