Iran’s judiciary has announced the execution of a man accused of providing information about Iranian missile sites to Israeli intelligence. The announcement was made on Saturday.

The man, identified as Hossein Pedaran, was said to have given details on missile sites in Isfahan province in central Iran. Judicial authorities described the offence as espionage and intelligence collaboration in favour of Israel.

His death sentence was upheld by the supreme court. Officials did not disclose when he was arrested or tried, and the case had not been previously reported in the media.

Iranian authorities have increased arrests and executions linked to the ongoing Middle East conflict and earlier nationwide protests. Isfahan province, which hosts nuclear sites, has been heavily affected during the war.

In August, the judiciary also announced the execution of two other men accused of transmitting the coordinates of sensitive military and security sites to Israel.
