Two Police Officers Killed in Ambush as Benue DPO Survives
Two police officers were killed after armed attackers ambushed the convoy of a Divisional Police Officer in Logo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The incident occurred while the DPO was returning to his duty post in Ayilamo following a trip to Makurdi. The attackers reportedly opened fire on the team, resulting in the deaths of two officers attached to the convoy.
The DPO survived the attack, while security personnel launched efforts to track down those responsible for the assault. Preliminary reports linked the attackers to armed groups operating in the area.
