Nollywood actress, Queeneth Agbor, has revealed that she is currently focused on rehabilitating and empowering inmates through her non-governmental organisation, Strength Beyond Walls, alongside her acting projects.

Agbor disclosed this in an interview with The Punch, explaining that the initiative was established to provide hope, nourishment, love and opportunities for people whose voices are often forgotten.

She said her humanitarian efforts recently earned her an award from the Nigerian Correctional Service, Lagos Command, describing the recognition as an encouragement that affirmed her commitment to the cause.

The actress also disclosed that she is currently working on Halima Abubakar: True Life Story, a project she described as emotionally intense and rooted in reality.

According to her, some scenes for the project were filmed outside traditional sets, including in actors’ homes and with phones, to give the story a more authentic feel.

Agbor said her most challenging recent acting experience involved portraying a woman trapped in an abusive marriage, a role that left her with a physical scar and deeply affected her emotionally.

She said the experience made her reflect on women enduring domestic abuse and reinforced the need for victims to speak up and seek help.

The actress identified her role as Roshni, an Indian character in Namaste, as one of the defining moments of her career. She said the role significantly expanded her fan base, with people recognising her on the streets by the character’s name.

Agbor noted that preparing for the role required her to watch several Indian films to study the accent and mannerisms, adding that the experience eventually sparked her lasting interest in Indian cinema.

Reflecting on her career, she said Nollywood had taught her to value herself, establish boundaries and protect her peace rather than live according to public expectations.

She also expressed a desire to take on more challenging roles that would require emotional depth and physical transformation, while pursuing international projects in the future.

Beyond acting, Agbor said she is focused on building generational wealth through ventures including Ankara Beauty, farming and other businesses.

She added that her long-term ambition through Strength Beyond Walls is to use her platform and resources to improve lives, saying she wants to build a legacy that extends beyond fame and money.
