Nigerian singer, Chike has surprised his elder brother, fellow musician SYEMCA, with a new Mercedes-Benz SUV days after his birthday.

Chike publicly wished his brother well on Wednesday, 26 August. A day later, SYEMCA revealed the full extent of the celebration on Instagram, saying he had arrived for what he thought was a simple sushi hangout and left with the car.

“Came for the sushi, left with a Benz. The car is beautiful, but the love behind it is priceless. Thank you, peace of mind, umu asa, my brotherly,” he wrote.

The gesture adds another chapter to a relationship the brothers have discussed openly over the years, one shaped as much by family as by music. Both are singers. SYEMCA previously auditioned for The Voice Nigeria and has spoken about wanting to establish himself independently before collaborating more closely with his more internationally known younger brother.

The two have already worked together on a song, and the birthday gift has been widely shared online as a public display of their bond. For SYEMCA, the value of the present appeared to lie less in the vehicle itself than in the thought behind it.
